Portraits and Landscapes
Home

Sussex based artist Sue Holpin creates stunning portraits and landscapes, working in a variety of media including oil, soft pastel, inks, watercolour, charcoal and pencil.

In her portraiture, as well as physical likeness, Sue captures depth and character, drawing the viewer further into the painting.  Sue is able to make her subjects – both human and animal – and clients feel relaxed and so enjoy the experience of having a portrait created.

Sue’s landscapes are a celebration of colour and mark-making, and create an emotional and visual dialogue with the viewer, making the work truly alive.

Please take some time to view Sue’s work in the portrait and landscape gallery sections of the website and get in touch via the contact page if you would like to commission or buy a painting.

A beautifully painted portrait or landscape can make a wonderful gift to be treasured for a lifetime.

I cannot recommend Sue highly enough.  I commissioned Sue to provide a pet portrait as a present for a close family friend and I have to say the result was breathtaking.  The drawing was both beautiful and extremely accurate, Sue captured Kirsty perfectly, right down to the kindness in the eye. Needless to say the friend was completely blown away and the portrait now hangs pride of place.
